Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggests that his team were fortunate to pick up all three points against Chelsea.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested that his team were fortunate to pick up all three points in Monday's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

The Blues missed a host of chances, in addition to having two goals disallowed by VAR, as they suffered a 2-0 loss to the 20-time English champions at Stamford Bridge.

The United boss has admitted that his side struggled in the opening 45 minutes but praised them for resisting a host of pressure after they made the breakthrough late in the first period.

"I don't think we played particularly well in the first half, our passing wasn't great, but we got the first goal and then hung in there," Solskjaer told reporters after the match.

The Red Devils, who will be in Europa League action against Club Brugge on Thursday, are now just three points off fourth-placed Chelsea in the Premier League table.
