Luis Suarez's racism row could last until the end of the season as the Independent Commission's written findings will reportedly be delayed by one month.

Liverpool may not be able to lodge an appeal against Luis Suarez's eight-match ban for over a month as the written findings of the racism case from the Independent Commission are expected to be delayed.

The Merseyside club maintained that they would wait for the documentation stating the reasons behind the IC's guilty verdict before deciding on whether to appeal the 24-year-old's ban for alleged racist remarks towards Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.

It is understood that that the written judgement will not be available for a month, which would then instigate the 14-day deadline for an appeal. This indicates that the issue could be prolonged until the end of the season, according to The Telegraph.

If the Premier League side attempt to reduce the lengthy ban, the Football Association could increase the match suspension for the striker.
