Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor has revealed that he is looking forward to his side's clash against Manchester United this weekend.

The Magpies, who are currently fourth in the Premier League table, suffered their first league defeat of the season with Saturday's 3-1 loss away at Manchester City.

"This is why you want to be a professional footballer - to play in the big games and to be involved against the best players in the world," Taylor told Sky Sports News.

"Manchester United have some world class players, like Wayne Rooney for example. What a player he is, but we've just got to be able to deal with it.

"The pressure will be on them and not us. We're going to go there and enjoy our football and try and improve on what we did at Man City."

Newcastle travel to Old Trafford on Saturday.
