Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda.
The Gunners face competition from clubs across Europe, including Premier League rivals Newcastle United and Manchester United.
The Telegraph reports that Arsenal are seriously interested and have joined the race for the 18-year-old's signature.
The report claims that Mikel Arteta's side could wait until the summer to make their move, although Valladolid have admitted that the player could leave this month.
The Spaniard is understood to be available for a fee of between £10m and £15m, however a bidding war could happen if all of the interested teams commit to making offers.
The former Real Madrid youth player has started seven matches in La Liga so far this season, and appeared off the bench in two more.
