Arsenal reportedly identify Rennes starlet Eduardo Camavinga as their top midfield target for the summer transfer window.

Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Rennes starlet Eduardo Camavinga in the summer transfer window.

The 18-year-old is thought to be on the radar of several top European clubs after bursting onto the scene in Ligue 1, although he has admitted himself that he has not enjoyed the best of seasons this term.

Nevertheless, Camavinga has supposedly attracted the interest of Real Madrid, Manchester United and Bayern Munich, while Liverpool are thought to have identified the teenager as an ideal replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.

Now, Le 10 Sport claims that Arsenal have earmarked Camavinga as their top target for the summer transfer window, although the starlet will not leave Roazhon Park on the cheap.

The report adds that the Gunners would have to shell out at least €50m (£43m) to win the race for Camavinga's signature, but Mikel Arteta is also thought to be eyeing moves for Denis Zakaria and Yves Bissouma to bolster his side's midfield options.

Camavinga is out of contract at Rennes in the summer of 2022, and the midfielder boasts one goal and two assists from 33 Ligue 1 appearances this term.
