Barcelona 'open to Ivan Rakitic exit amid Manchester United interest'

Barcelona will allow Ivan Rakitic to leave Camp Nou this summer amid interest from Manchester United, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to allow Ivan Rakitic to leave Camp Nou this summer.

Rakitic scored five times and contributed 10 assists in 54 appearances for Barca during the 2018-19 campaign.

However, according to Cadena Ser, the Spanish club's head coach Ernesto Valverde no longer considers the Croatia international to be a crucial member of his squad.

As a result, the report claims that the Spanish champions would allow the midfielder to leave the club this summer provided that an adequate offer is received.

Manchester United have been strongly linked with a swoop for the 31-year-old, who will see his current deal expire in June 2021.

The 2018 World Cup finalist - also linked with Inter Milan - has won four La Liga titles, four Copa del Rey crowns and one Champions League since arriving from Sevilla in 2014.
