Barcelona are reportedly planning to move for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski this summer, having admitted defeat in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland.
The Catalan giants are one of a number of clubs to be strongly linked with Haaland, but the Norway international has allegedly agreed a deal to join Manchester City this summer.
According to Sport, Xavi's side have now shifted their focus to Lewandowski, with the Poland international potentially becoming available during this summer's transfer window.
The 33-year-old has enjoyed another staggering season for Bayern, scoring 43 goals and registering four assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.
Lewandowski's contract at Allianz Arena is due to expire in June 2023, though, and he is believed to be keen to seeking pastures new during this summer's transfer window.
The Poland international recently said that he was "open to everything" when questioned on his future.
However, Barcelona are likely to face intense competition for the centre-forward's signature, with Manchester United also believed to be keen to secure his services ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
