Bayern Munich sporting director Mattias Sammer has ruled out the prospect of reported Manchester United target Toni Kroos swapping the Allianz Arena for Old Trafford.
United boss David Moyes was photographed speaking with the agent of the Germany international in January amid reports that the Premier League giants are plotting a summer swoop for the midfielder.
However, Sammer reveals that there is up to an 80% chance that the 24-year-old - whose existing deal expires in 2015 - will draw a line under the speculation by opting to extend his stay with the Bavarians.
"We won't sell Toni before his contract ends," Sammer told Süddeutsche Zeitung. "It counts what Uli Hoeness said: Bayern is a buyer, not a selling club.
"We all want him to extend with us, there is no doubt about that. It's not an easy case. At the moment we can't say our chances are 80-20 or 70-30."
Kroos has netted once in 18 Bundesliga appearances for the German giants this season.
