Cameron Borthwick-Jackson back at Manchester United from Leeds United loan spell

Leeds United confirm that left-back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is back at Manchester United after his loan spell at Elland Road was cut short by the Championship club.

Leeds United have confirmed that Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is back at Manchester United after his loan spell at Elland Road was cut short by the Championship club.

The 20-year-old left-back joined the Whites at the start of the season on a season-long loan but made just six appearances in all competitions and did not feature in a league fixture after his debut in August.

Borthwick-Jackson's final appearance for Leeds came in their 2-1 defeat at League Two outfit Newport County in the third round of the FA Cup on January 7.

In a statement, the Yorkshire club wrote: "Leeds United can confirm Cameron Borthwick-Jackson's loan spell has been ended early and the left-back has returned to Manchester United.

"Borthwick-Jackson joined Leeds back in August and went on to make six appearances for the Whites. We would like to thank Cameron for his efforts during his time at the club."

The defender also spent time on loan in the second tier last season with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
