Andy Gray expects Manchester United to spend in January

Andy Gray believes that Manchester United manager David Moyes will go on a spending spree in the January transfer window.

Former Scotland international Andy Gray believes that Manchester United manager David Moyes will be busy in the January transfer market.

The ex-Everton boss was criticised for the lack of business in the summer, making just one major signing in the form of midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

"I would expect, if David can, for him to flex his muscles in the transfer window in January," Gray told talkSPORT.

"It might be difficult to get somebody in who isn't cup-tied but I think he'll try and strengthen his squad anyway because he didn't do that in the summer."

United currently sit eighth in the Premier League table after 10 games.
