Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane has reportedly been included in Manchester United's three-man striker shortlist.
Following Cristiano Ronaldo's departure in November, United are looking to strengthen their forward line during the current transfer window.
Wout Weghorst, who is currently on loan at Besiktas from Burnley, has emerged as a leading target, with Erik ten Hag keen to link up with his fellow countryman.
While the Red Devils are believed to be in discussions over a possible loan move, Weghorst is regarded as a temporary solution to a United side short on central strikers.
The 20-time English champions are said to be prioritising signing a forward next summer, and they have already identified potential options.

According to ESPN, Kane features on United's three-man shortlist, which also includes Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko, who currently play for Napoli and Red Bull Salzburg respectively.
Kane was linked with a move to United's local rivals Manchester City in the summer of 2021, but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was unwilling to sell.
With the 29-year-old's contract set to expire in June 2024, Man United are monitoring the situation, while Bayern Munich have also been linked.
A recent report suggested that Tottenham are yet to open contract talks for Kane, who has scored 265 times in 412 appearances for Tottenham, leaving him one goal away from moving level with the club's record scorer Jimmy Greaves.
After establishing himself as a key part of Napoli's side, Osihmen is another player that is on United's radar, while he is also attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Since joining the Italian club from Lille in 2020, the Nigeria international has registered 39 goals and 12 assists in 78 appearances.
Osimhen, who is under contract until June 2025, has helped Napoli move to the top of the Serie A table this term, with his 10 goals making him the league's top goalscorer.
Meanwhile, Sesko is another option, despite the fact that Salzburg have already agreed to a £20m fee to sell him to their sister club RB Leipzig at the end of the current season.
There is a belief that Sesko could still be available if a club submits a higher offer to buy Leipzig out of their deal.
In 63 competitive appearances for Salzburg, the Slovenia international has scored 18 goals and provided 10 assists.
