Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has said that reports linking Mats Hummels with a move to Manchester United are "garbage".
New United boss Louis van Gaal reportedly believes that he can sign the Germany international for a fee of £16m.
With speculation also linking Marco Reus with a move to Liverpool, Klopp has ruled out the possibility of either player leaving Dortmund this summer.
"Both will stay here this season. There is no tendency they'd want to be elsewhere," he told Die Welt.
"Did they also say €20m? When papers mention such numbers you know it's garbage."
Hummels joined Dortmund from Bayern Munich in 2009.
