Real Madrid to rival Liverpool, Manchester United for David Carmo?

A report claims that Braga defender David Carmo, previously touted as a target for Liverpool and Manchester United, is now on Real Madrid's radar.

Real Madrid have reportedly joined Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to sign Braga defender David Carmo.

Premier League giants Liverpool and United were strongly linked with the 21-year-old in the January window.

Liverpool are said to have had a couple of bids knocked back before moving for Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies, but Carmo remains a target for both the Reds and United.

However, Spanish outlet AS claims that Madrid have also been keeping tabs on the Portugal Under-20s international with a view to making a move.

Carmo has a €40m (£34.79m) release clause in his contract, but Braga were supposedly willing to accept €25m (£21.74) last month.

Madrid have upped their search for a new central defender amid strong suggestions that Sergio Ramos will leave the club in the summer.
