A report claims that Manchester United want to make a profit on Romelu Lukaku, forcing Juventus or Inter Milan to splash out £80m for his signature.

Manchester United will reportedly only grant Romelu Lukaku a move to Serie A if they receive an offer of £80m.

The Belgian striker's future at Old Trafford has been called into question after slipping behind Marcus Rashford in the pecking order under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Lukaku reiterated earlier this month that he would like to play in the Italian top flight, with Juventus and Inter Milan believed to be interested.

According to the Daily Mail, however, the 26-year-old will not be allowed to leave Old Trafford unless United make a profit on the £75m they spent to sign him from Everton two years ago.

Across 77 starts for United in all competitions, Lukaku has found the back of the net 42 times.
