Manchester United are reportedly in ongoing negotiations with Bruno Fernandes and his representatives over a new contract at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old still has four years left to run on his current deal, but the 20-time English champions want to hand him a new and improved contract due to his contribution since arriving in January 2020.
Fernandes has scored 44 times and registered 28 assists in 90 outings for the Red Devils in all competitions, including four goals and three assists in 10 outings during the 2021-22 campaign.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Man United view the Portugal international's future as a 'priority', and discussions between the two parties are ongoing about the salary and length of the deal.
Fernandes has a record of 30 goals and 19 assists in 58 Premier League appearances, including 18 strikes in England's top flight during the 2020-21 campaign.
Man United will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City on Saturday.
