Manchester United are reportedly prepared to up their interest in Birmingham City youngster Jude Bellingham.
Despite having only turned 16 years of age in June, Bellingham has already made 16 starts and four substitute appearances for the Championship outfit.
The emergence of the teenager has inevitably led to interest from the Premier League, including from United who are currently going through a transitional period.
According to The Telegraph, United assist Mike Phelan was in attendance to assess Bellingham's development against West Bromwich Albion earlier this month.
While they are now focused on signing Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Braut Haaland, the report suggests that United view the midfielder as the next prospect whom they intend to target in the summer.
Bellingham currently has just over 18 months remaining on his contract.
