Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'reassured Manchester United job is safe'

Manchester United's hierarchy reportedly reassures Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that his job at Old Trafford is safe.

Manchester United's hierarchy has reportedly reassured Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that his job at Old Trafford is safe.

The Norwegian was under considerable pressure following a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa that left United with a record of four wins from 14 Premier League games.

However, following a pair of 2-1 victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City in the space of four days, pressure has eased on Solskjaer.

According to the Daily Mail, co-owner Joel Glazer spoke personally with Solskjaer to assure him that the club remained supportive of his long-term vision.

The club is willing to be patient with the former striker, who along with Mike Phelan wants to develop a core of young British players with 'United DNA' over the next three years.

Following a meeting with AZ in the Europa League during the week, United resume Premier League action at home to Everton on Sunday.
