Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reportedly plans to personally scout Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic during the international break.
Mourinho is desperate to bolster his defensive options during the January transfer window after seeing the club miss out on a number of centre-back targets during the summer.
Milenkovic is the latest player to be linked with a winter switch to Old Trafford, with the 20-year-old having established himself as a regular member of the Fiorentina first team so far this season.
Serbian outlet Telegraf reports that Mourinho plans to watch Serbia's UEFA Nations League clash with Montenegro on Thursday in order to run the rule over the youngster.
Milenkovic has already won seven caps for his national team despite being the youngest player in the latest Serbia squad.
Mourinho's trip will also allow him to scout long-time target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic again, although current United midfielder Nemanja Matic has withdrawn from the squad.
