Manchester United are not interested in signing Benfica midfielder Nicolas Gaitan during the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports News.
Reports yesterday claimed that Gaitan's agent had said that discussions regarding a transfer had taken place between the two clubs.
However, sources in the North West of England have told Sky Sports News that no such talks have taken place.
Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be interested in bolstering his midfield options following a spate of injuries and illness to his squad.
