Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard are two of six Manchester United players who have now entered the final six months of their contracts at Old Trafford.

Manchester United duo Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard have both entered the final six months of their contracts at Old Trafford.

The midfield pair are now free to discuss terms regarding a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs ahead of a possible free transfer when their deals expire on June 30.

Both players have been regularly linked with moves away from the club in recent months, having struggled to hold down regular starting spots this season.

Pogba is currently sidelined by injury but has not started a Premier League game since October, while Lingard has not started a single top-flight match all season.

The Englishman enjoyed a productive loan spell at West Ham United during the second half of 2020-21 and chose to stay at Old Trafford to fight for his place last summer.

However, he has not worked himself into the plans of either Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or Ralf Rangnick and now looks set to leave the club in 2022 amid reported interest from West Ham and Newcastle United.

Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs thought to be keeping tabs on Pogba, meanwhile, with Man United's record signing available for nothing next summer as things stand.

The contracts of Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Lee Grant and Tahith Chong are also due to expire in June, although the club has the option to extend the latter's deal by another year.
