Paul Pogba summoned to Juventus training amid links to Manchester United

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri reveals that Paul Pogba is to return to training with the club on Monday, despite reportedly being close to joining Manchester United.

Manchester United target Paul Pogba has been told by Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri to return to training with with the club on Monday.

The France international is thought to be on the brink of rejoining the Red Devils in a world-record deal worth in excess of £100m.

However, despite prolonged speculation over the 23-year-old's future, no deal has yet been struck between the two clubs and Pogba still remains a Juve player with a week to go before the Premier League season gets underway.

Allegri now expects Pogba, along with international teammate Patrice Evra - who both played key roles in France's run to the Euro 2016 final - to return to training early next week following his extended summer break.

"I've summoned Pogba together with Evra tomorrow night," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "So that means he has training here in Vinovo on Monday."

United boss Jose Mourinho hinted on Friday that a move for Pogba was close to being finalised.
