Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign Harry Kane, despite Tottenham Hotspur's reluctance to sell him to a domestic rival.

Premier League trio Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Kane has allegedly handed in a transfer request at Spurs, and wants his future to be decided before travelling to Euro 2020 with England next month.

However, the reported £150m price tag on his head could prove to be a stumbling block in negotiations, with Tottenham reluctant to sell their talisman.

Daniel Levy is particularly against selling Kane to a Premier League rival, but Sky Sports News reports that both Manchester clubs and Tottenham's London rivals Chelsea are the most likely suitors for the 27-year-old.

Man City are in the market for a new striker this summer due to the impending exit of club-record goalscorer Sergio Aguero, while Chelsea are also thought to have identified a new centre-forward as one of their transfer priorities.

Erling Braut Haaland, Romelu Lukaku and Robert Lewandowski have all been linked with high-profile moves to the Premier League, leaving Kane competing with other elite strikers for those in the market for that position.

Manchester United had also been linked with a new striker and are long-term admirers of Kane, but their decision to extend Edinson Cavani's contract for a further year could see them focus on strengthening in other areas instead.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have both been credited with an interest in Kane in the past, but could struggle to afford the England captain given their financial troubles post-coronavirus.

Paris Saint-Germain would also struggle to afford Kane's wages within Financial Fair Play restrictions given that they already have Neymar and Kylian Mbappe on their books, while Bayern Munich boast one of the few centre-forwards to have outscored Kane in recent seasons in Robert Lewandowski.

The report also mentions Liverpool as a possible destination, although they too are unlikely to be able to afford the striker.

Kane is Tottenham's second-highest scorer of all time with 220 goals in 334 games, including 32 goals across all competitions this season.
