Real Madrid are reportedly leading the race for Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland.
The Norway international is widely regarded as one of the best young talents in world football and starred for his German club during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 41 times in 41 appearances.
A number of clubs, including Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United, are said to be determined to sign the 20-year-old over the next 12 months.
However, according to AS, Real Madrid are in pole position to land the centre-forward and will have priority over a deal when he eventually leaves Signal Iduna Park.
The report claims that the Spanish club's strong relationship with Dortmund has placed them in a strong position, while Haaland is thought to favour a move to the Bernabeu over anywhere else.
There is a release clause in the Norwegian's contract, but it cannot be activated until next summer, meaning that clubs will have to agree a price with Dortmund if they wish to complete a deal in the upcoming market.
Haaland has scored 57 goals in 59 appearances for BVB since arriving in January 2020.
