Report: Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to offload Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez expresses an interest in offloading Cristiano Ronaldo over fears over a recurring knee injury, according to reports.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has expressed an interest in offloading Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.

The Portuguese star has scored 207 goals in 187 appearances for Los Blancos since his £80m transfer from Manchester United in 2009.

Spanish newspaper Sport claims that Perez is concerned about a recurrence of Ronaldo's knee injury and will sell him before the problem deteriorates.

The 30-year-old forward has long been linked with a return to Old Trafford, where he spent six seasons between 2003 and 2009.
