Report: Manchester United resigned to losing David de Gea

Manchester United are willing to lose David de Gea on a free transfer next summer, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to lose David de Gea for free next summer, instead of selling the goalkeeper to Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old has one year left on his contract at Old Trafford and has been heavily linked with a move back to Spain.

According to Sky Sports News, United are ready to lose out on a £25m transfer fee for the keeper, due to the role that he could play in helping the club to achieve success over the next 12 months.

However, it is believed that the Reds would allow De Gea to leave if Madrid agreed to a swap deal with Sergio Ramos.

De Gea has spent the past four years at United, after joining the club from Atletico Madrid.
