Report: Manchester United to offload £20m-rated Juan Mata

Manchester United slap a £20m price tag on the head of Juan Mata, despite only signing the Spaniard for a club-record £37m 10 months ago.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to accept £20m for Juan Mata - less than a year after breaking their transfer record to sign him.

The playmaker joined United from Chelsea in January for a then-club record £37.1m, but manager Louis van Gaal is said to be keen to offload the Spaniard, according to The Express.

Juventus and Atletico Madrid are both said to be interested, with Mata thought to favour a return to his homeland to put Diego Simeone's side in pole position.

The 26-year-old, whose contract expires in 2018, netted United's winner in Saturday's 1-0 victory at home to Crystal Palace.

The former Valencia midfielder has started seven Premier League outings for the Red Devils this season, but has completed the 90 minutes on just three occasions.
