Report: Louis van Gaal alters Manchester United's transfer plans

Louis van Gaal reportedly tells Manchester United to alter their original transfer plans and target the players his wants.

Louis van Gaal has reportedly told Manchester United chiefs to alter their transfer plans in order to target the players wanted by the Dutchman.

Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos was widely expected to make the move to Old Trafford, but it is believed that the German international will now stay in the Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas is said to have been on executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward's shortlist, but reports have claimed that Van Gaal is not interested in signing the Spaniard.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Van Gaal has instructed the club to change their plans and hunt for the players he wants, including Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman.

It has been reported that Van Gaal, who expects the club to deliver when he arrives at Old Trafford after coaching the Netherlands in the World Cup, has given the green light for United to go ahead with their move for Southampton's Luke Shaw.
