Manchester United will reportedly sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho after agreeing a fee in the region of £37m with the Portuguese giants.
According to The People, the player's agent was given a tour of the Red Devils' Carrington training base last week and a deal has been agreed to bring him to Old Trafford before the start of the World Cup in Brazil in June.
It is believed that the 21-year-old will be one of five major signings unveiled by the club in the summer, as manager David Moyes looks to rebuild his squad after an indifferent season to date.
United are said to have triggered a release clause in the Angola-born player's contract as they look to finalise a transfer.
Moyes is also reported to be pursuing Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos and will offer £26m for the services of Southampton left-back Luke Shaw.
