Report: Manchester United open talks with Sporting Lisbon over William Carvalho

Manchester United are reportedly in talks with Sporting Lisbon about the availability of midfielder William Carvalho.

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Sporting Lisbon about possibly signing midfielder William Carvalho.

The Premier League champions have been linked with the 21-year-old for some time, but it is believed that a potential deal to take the midfielder to Old Trafford is now in motion.

According to the Daily Mail, the Portuguese club have slapped a £29m price tag on Carvalho while the Red Devils believe that the player is worth £4m less.

Reports have claimed that manager David Moyes is keen to complete his summer transfer activity before the start of the World Cup on June 12.
