Manchester United have reportedly had a £65m bid rejected by Inter Milan for defender Milan Skriniar.
Skriniar, 23, joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2017 and made 40 appearances during his first season at San Siro.
United are believed to be desperate to land the defender but are expected to face competition from rivals Manchester City for a player who is a 21-time Slovakia international.
Inter have reportedly informed United that it will cost 'in excess of £70m' to land the defender, who has also previously been linked with Barcelona.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, United made an opening bid of £65m, but that has been rejected by Inter, who are third in Serie A following a strong start to the 2018-19 campaign.
Skriniar has made 10 appearances in all competitions for his Italian club this season.
