Manchester United have reportedly entered talks with Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero over the prospect of a three-year deal.
Some sections of the press have stated that Louis van Gaal wants to bring free agent Romero to Old Trafford to fill the void should Victor Valdes depart, and the Daily Mail is now suggesting that United and Romero have started talks about the possibility of a formal move.
The same report says that Roma had been keen on the stopper's services, but that the former Sampdoria keeper appears keen on moving to Manchester.
Van Gaal previously worked with Romero when the pair featured at AZ Alkmaar.
