Manchester United set to sign Arsenal's Bacary Sagna?

Manchester United will beat Manchester City to the signing of Bacary Sagna, according to reports.

Manchester United are reportedly set to beat local rivals Manchester City to the signature of Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna on a free transfer this summer.

The 31-year-old is widely thought to have made his last appearance for the club in the 3-2 FA Cup final victory over Hull City.

However, The People claims that instead of moving the Etihad Stadium, Sagna could join United as part of a massive overhaul of the Red Devils squad.

Indeed, the Old Trafford club are thought to be confident that they can sway the French international to sign for them, by pointing out that he may be second choice for the Blues, behind Pablo Zabaleta.

Sagna could become the regular right-back at United, with the reported manager-to-be Louis van Gaal said to less than keen on the talents of incumbent defender Rafael.
