Valencia want £35m for Nicolas Otamendi?

Valencia reportedly tell Manchester United that they will have to meet a £35m release clause in order to sign defender Nicolas Otamendi.

Valencia have reportedly told Manchester United that they will have to trigger a £35m release clause in order to sign Nicolas Otamendi.

The Argentina international, whose agent has said that he is keen for a move away from the La Liga side, has been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford.

However, The Mirror claims that Valencia will not let the 27-year-old leave for less than the full £35m release clause in his current contract, which is £10m more than Louis van Gaal's side are said to value the defender at.

Otamendi is currently away on international duty at the Copa America.
