Arsenal forward Robin van Persie will reportedly opt to join Manchester United if he is offered financial parity with Wayne Rooney.
United, Manchester City and Juventus are believed to be involved in a three-way battle for the 28-year-old's signature this summer.
According to the Daily Star, Van Persie's preference is a move to Old Trafford but he intends to demand a weekly wage of £220,000 per week.
Arsenal have already rejected a bid from United for Van Persie, whose contract expires in June 2013.
