Roberto Mancini reveals that Manchester City could bring in new players over the next two weeks.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has revealed that he is hoping to bring in some new signings over the next two weeks.

There have been reports of unrest at the Etihad Stadium, with suggestions that Mancini is unhappy with the lack of business in this summer's transfer market.

The Italian believes that the club need to strengthen their squad if they want to challenge for the title once again. However, the former Inter Milan manager did admit that the market was "difficult" at the moment.

"We did well last year," said Mancini. "This year will be harder because when you win, the problem is to win again.

"For this reason I think that we need to improve our team with maybe some new players. I'm sure that maybe in the next two weeks we can do something about new players.

"We are talking to some players, but the market is not easy. It's difficult and for this reason we need more time."

City have been linked with a move for Arsenal striker Robin van Persie, but face competition from rivals Manchester United.
