Manchester United forward Danny Welbeck reportedly prepares to sign a new four-year contract this week.

Manchester United forward Danny Welbeck is expected to sign a new four-year contract at the club this week.

The 21-year-old, who scored nine goals in 30 Premier League appearances last season, has been in talks over a new deal at Old Trafford for the past eight weeks.

According to The Sun, Welbeck is now ready to put pen to paper and will treble his basic weekly wage to around £50,000 per week.

Welbeck has represented England nine times at senior international level, scoring two goals.
