Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has revealed his pride in his players as they defeated promotion rivals Norwich City 1-0 to move back to the top of the Championship.
The North-East outfit took the lead in the eighth minute when Alex Tettey diverted the ball into his own net as he attempted to clear from a corner.
Alex Neil's men exerted pressure in the second half, but the visitors remained defiant at the back to hold out for the three points at Carrow Road.
Karanka told Sky Sports News: "Norwich had players who played in the Premier League and our young lads came from League One and League Two and they fight against every team with the same intensity.
"I am proud of every one of them, at the moment we are top and did our job but we will have to wait until tomorrow."
Middlesbrough hold a one-point lead at the top of the table with two games remaining in their season.
