Preview: Middlesbrough vs. Huddersfield Town

Sports Mole previews Huddersfield Town's trip to the Riverside to take on promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough.

Aitor Karanka continues his bid to take Middlesbrough back to the Championship this Saturday when his side take on Huddersfield Town.

Currently sitting in fourth, Middlesbrough sit just four points off the top of the table, and their first aim will be to catch third-placed Ipswich Town, whom they could leapfrog with a win this weekend.

Boro missed the chance to close the gap last weekend as they were held to a goalless draw at Reading, and Karanka could be tempted to make changes as he looks for a reaction to the below-par performance, with Lee Tomlin pushing for a recall.

Huddersfield have picked up wins in each of their previous two Championship games, and they caused a shock last weekend by recording a 3-1 victory over Watford.

Chris Powell is likely to react to the win by naming an unchanged side, with Nahki Wells and James Vaughan expected to continue their partnership in attack.

Middlesbrough:

Form in Championship: WWLWDD
Form in all competitions: WLWDWD

Possible starting lineup: Konstantopoulos, Kalas, Ayala, Gibson, Friend, Whitehead, Leadbitter, Reach, Tomlin, Vossen, Bamford

Huddersfield:

Form in Championship: WLLDWW
Form in all competitions: LLDWLW

Possible starting lineup: Smithies; Hudson Scannell, Butterfield, Lynch, Coady, Robinson, Smith, Gobern, Wells, Vaughan

Sports Mole says: 2-1
