Nacional bounced back to form with a 2-0 victory over Academica de Coimbra in their Primeira Liga clash.

The home side were defeated in their last outing by Tondela, but they showed no signs of lacking in confidence when they took the lead in the 18th minute through Tiquinho.

Nacional continued to dominate the game in the second half and they doubled their advantage when Salvador Agra found the net in the 64th minute.

Academica pushed late to get back into the game, but the hosts held out for a comfortable win - their second of the campaign.
