Napoli centre-back Paolo Cannavaro has praised the club's fans as their "secret weapon" ahead of the trip to the capital to face Lazio.

Cannavaro has urged the fans to back the players as they battle Juventus to win the league title.

"[The fans] are our secret weapon - we cannot wait to take the field to try to make them happy," Gazzetta dello Sport quotes Cannavaro as saying.

"We face a difficult month but we must make that final push. We have the ability to [win the league]."

Napoli are three points behind Juventus in the league table.
