Guus Hiddink announced as Louis van Gaal's replacement as Netherlands boss

The Dutch FA confirm that Guus Hiddink will replace Louis van Gaal as Netherlands boss after the World Cup.

The Dutch Football Association have announced that Guus Hiddink will replace Louis van Gaal as Netherlands boss after the World Cup.

The former Real Madrid manager, who has been out of work since leaving Anzhi Makhachkala last summer, has been in talks with the Dutch FA for some time.

It has been confirmed that Danny Blind and former Manchester United forward Ruud van Nistelrooy will be his assistants when he takes over after the Netherlands' World Cup campaign in Brazil.

The change in management raises questions over the future of Van Gaal, who has recently admitted that he would like to coach in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur have already been linked with the Dutchman.
