Hatem Ben Arfa dropped by Newcastle United

Newcastle United midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa says that he has been dropped for their Premier League match against Arsenal.

Newcastle United midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa has revealed that he has been dropped by manager Alan Pardew for their Premier League match against Arsenal.

The Frenchman has been struggling with a thigh injury, but reports have linked him with a move away from St James' Park for becoming a disruptive influence on the team.

"The manager didn't pick me in the group to go to London for the game against Arsenal," Ben Arfa said on his official Instagram account, before deleting the post.

"It is not a problem. I hope my team-mates will win at the Emirates Stadium to make our fans happy."

Ben Arfa signed permanently for the club from Marseille in 2011 after a spell on loan.
