Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren: "Nobody is happy here"

Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren insists that his side are determined to improve their form and break out of the relegation zone in the Premier League.

Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren has revealed that nobody at the club is content following their recent run of poor form in the Premier League.

The Magpies dropped back into the relegation zone after their heavy defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace last time out as the team fell to their second loss on the spin.

However, McClaren has backed Newcastle to turn their fortunes around by stringing together a run of results, starting against Liverpool on Sunday.

He told reporters: "Nobody is happy here. We've lost the last two games and not played very well. Confidence can go as quickly as it comes.

"The next game is always an opportunity to build a performance, get a result and the confidence can come back.

"The mood is focused and determined, and we know that we can turn it around with one result because we have good players."

Newcastle take on Liverpool at St James' Park on Sunday.
