Newcastle United have reportedly decided to turn down an offer from Anderlecht for Matz Sels.
The Belgium goalkeeper finds himself down the pecking order at St James' Park, and the Magpies allowed the 26-year-old to spend time on loan at Anderlecht during the most recent campaign.
Sels made a total of 35 appearances in all competitions and Anderlecht now wish to complete a permanent deal, but according to The Sun, Newcastle have already turned down an approach of £1.75m.
The report suggests that Newcastle are demanding another £500,000 in order for the transfer to go ahead but as it stands, Anderlecht are refusing to budge on their own valuation.
Sels cost £5m in 2015 and still has three years remaining on his contract, but the stopper has only made 14 outings for the North-East outfit in all competitions.
