Good morning and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage from day one of the men's football at the 2012 Olympic Games.
The women got us underway on Wednesday, and there were wins for Brazil, USA and Team GB on an exciting opening day of football.
Now our focus switches to the men, and we have all 16 Olympic teams in action on this record-breaking day in Great Britain.
Team GB will open up their campaign against Senegal at 8pm, while Spain face Japan and Brazil take on Egypt this afternoon.
Note that the live action begins at 12pm.

9.58What have we learned from day one? Two of the three favourites - Uruguay and Brazil - recorded wins. However, Spain were undone by a first-half goal from Japan.

9.55So there we have it. What an opening day of men's football at the 2012 Olympics. Without question the shock of the afternoon came in Group D as Japan recorded a 1-0 win over Spain.
9.53Frustration for Team GB as they surrender a one-goal lead in the second period to draw 1-1 with Senegal in their opening match in Group A. Stuart Pearce's side might have had a penalty when Bellamy was felled in the box after the break, but no decision was given. The African outfit certainly dominated the second period - and they were well worth their point.

I think Great Britain are a work in progress but to pinch that goal has made a world of difference. They can't afford to sit back, otherwise Senegal will pour forward and GB could be caught."

11.44What about the favourites? It would probably be fair to state that there are two, maybe three clear favourites for the competition - and Team GB are not one of them.
