Late Bryan Rochez strike hands Orlando City victory over Chicago Fire

Orlando City edge out the Chicago Fire in their MLS clash as Bryan Rochez scores three minutes from time to secure a narrow 1-0 win at Toyota Park.

Bryan Rochez scored an 87th-minute winner to snatch a 1-0 victory for Orlando City in their MLS clash against the Chicago Fire.

The visitors almost took the lead in the 18th minute when Cyle Larin fed the run of Carlos Rivas on the edge of the box, but the midfielder's effort struck the underside of the bar and bounced clear.

The Fire threatened through David Accam as he managed to guide Harrison Shipp's cross towards goal with a looping header, but Tally Hall pushed his effort wide of the post.

Chicago upped the ante before the break and Hall made another fine save this time to deny Shipp as his volley seemed destined for the top corner before the keeper palmed it away.

In the second half, City responded as Rafael Ramos raided down the flank and lifted the ball into the box for Rochez, but he could head his effort straight at Jon Busch.

Hall kept the scores level when he made another fine stop to deny Patrick Nyarko on the goalline after the forward latched on to a loose ball in the six-yard box.

Orlando won the game when Brek Shea found Darwin Ceren, who in turn laid the ball into the path of Rochez to bury the ball into the net to secure the three points.

The result moved Orlando into eighth place in the Eastern Conference, while the Fire remain bottom.
