Fabio Coentrao calls for positive approach against Denmark

Fabio Coentrao insists that Portugal must remain optimistic despite losing to Germany to begin Euro 2012.

Portugal left-back Fabio Coentrao has said that he and his teammates must remain optimistic despite losing 1-0 to Germany to kick off Euro 2012.

Coentrao, who admits that he was "sad" following the final whistle, has urged Portugal to focus on the positives and take that approach into the team's match against Denmark in midweek.

"I am sad, but in the midst of all this sadness there is something positive," he told Goal.com.

"We showed a good attitude. Now we will have to keep this up to defeat Denmark.

"There is no one who scares me. No problem to face [Thomas] Muller or [Arjen] Robben."

Portugal and Denmark face off in L'viv later this week.
