Half-Time Report: Edinson Cavani puts Paris Saint-Germain in front

Edinson Cavani scores to give Paris Saint-Germain a 1-0 lead against Ajax in the Champions League at half time.

Edinson Cavani's goal has given Paris Saint-Germain a 1-0 half-time lead against Ajax at the Amsterdam ArenA this evening.

Lucas Moura pounced on some slack defending inside the box and teed up Zlatan Ibrahimovic but his shot was blocked, before Cavani stabbed into an empty net on 14 minutes.

Ibrahimovic hammered a low free kick at goal on 20 minutes but the effort was comfortably held by Netherlands international Jasper Cillenssen.

PSG have threatened a number of times down the left side, but have failed to build on their excellent start in what has been a fairly timid encounter.
