Presnel Kimpembe signs new Paris Saint-Germain deal

Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe signs a new long-term contract with the French champions, which will run until 2021.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe has signed a new long-term contract with the French champions.

The 21-year-old, who has made seven league appearances for PSG this season, had previously been linked with moves to Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton.

However, speculation surrounding the centre-back's future will now end after the Frenchman extended his contract in Paris until the summer of 2021.

"Extending my contract with the club where I learned my trade brings me a lot of joy. I have been here since I was really little, so this extension means a lot to me," he told PSG's official website.

Kimpembe, who received his first call into the senior France squad last month, came through the youth ranks at PSG and now has 18 first-team appearances to his name.
