Paris Saint-Germain reportedly make a late attempt to prevent Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt from joining Juventus this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain have maintained their interest in Matthijs de Ligt, despite suggestions that the Ajax defender is ready to join Juventus.

The race to sign the 19-year-old has taken several twists and turns in recent months as more teams look to secure the signature of the Netherlands international.

At one stage, it appeared that PSG have seen off Barcelona to sign De Ligt, only for Juventus to allegedly move to the brink of adding the centre-back to their squad.

However, Paris United claims that PSG are ready to up their offer for De Ligt, who will not make a final decision until returning from holiday.

Barcelona - as well as Manchester United - are no longer considered to be interested in the young Dutchman.
